Welcome back to Term 2. We have an exciting term ahead with so many wonderful opportunities for our McAuley Eagles both in and out of the classroom. I encourage all students to get involved, be active and curious learners in the classroom and active participants in the life of the college.

Attendance Matters

School attendance plays a critical role in enhancing the lives of students in schools. Every day of attendance adds to a student’s academic and social achievements at school, and conversely every absence, can impact their learning and progress.

To encourage our students to increase their attendance rate we are introducing a prize for 100% attendance that will be on offer each term. At the end of term House celebrations students in each year group will go into the draw with their peers to receive a JB Hi-Fi gift voucher to the value of $50.

Is your child interested in Army Cadets?

211 Army Cadet Unit Newcastle is now taking recruit applications for Term 2 2025. If you would like to learn military based skills and make new friends in an organisation designed to give you an experience of what the Australian Army is all about, then we are the place you need to be. Applications can be accepted from 12 years of age provided you turn 13 years old in 2025, and you are in year 7, all the way through to the year you turn 18.
